2021 Snapshot

It started a little slow but has definitely finished with a bang!

During our first quarter we said goodbye to our friends at The Common Collective and in March The Ageing Sea moved to our newly constructed studio in Buderim. The new location has allowed us room for expansion and we are now able to plan projects, run workshops with clients and our senior team, along with adding a new staff member, Amy Keetly who has come on board as a Junior Designer. 2021 also was full of surprises, The Ageing Sea worked on a bunch of exciting projects for Plentify, Acres Noosa, Safehook Australia, Sunstruct/GVE and we even won our first pitch with Sime Darby Industrial Solutions.

Big shout out to our fabulous clients for another great year. Although we couldn’t have done it without our fabulous team, their persistence and commitment to hard work has provided us with a great platform to build on in 2022.


SOLID GROUND ROASTERS

We continued our partnership with Solid Ground Roasters producing a range of digital content for their website including blog posts, product updates and took over management of their social media. We also helped to design new packaging to cater for smaller sized quantities and single origins.


PLENTIFY

Turning back to our roots, we developed the new agricultural brand, Plentify, for clients building a regenerative agricultural consulting business assisting Queensland and New South Wales farmers manage their assets sustainability and environmental impact. We also produced their company profile, stationery and will help manage their social media channels once it’s up and running. We’re launching the new brand shortly in 2022, here’s a sneak peak.


THE OSTEOPATH

We were approached by the lovely people at The Osteopath to re-create their website to include more content with a customer-centric focus. In order to make sure we knew exactly what their customers were wanting, we conducted customer research via a (Typeform) survey. From the survey results, we were able to develop a voice and tone that connected with their true core customer base. To accompany this, we produced an introduction video and undertook a photo shoot with our friends Create Right (video) and Amy Higg from Lumea (photo). The new website launched earlier this year. COASTAL ACCOUNTANTS & ADVISORS

An update to their existing brand, saw Coolum Accountants become Coastal Accountants and Advisors. With this small refresh, came an overhaul of their website complete with new photography and copywriting to fit their new look and direction.


Acres Noosa Facebook Advertising

ACRES NOOSA - COME & EXPLORE

We were excited to plan, produce and direct a video and photo shoot for all seven tenants at Acres Noosa in Noosaville. We storyboarded and wrote the script for a 40 and 80 second video and our creative director shot the still photography to support campaign on social media. We then launched an advertising campaign on Facebook and Instagram with ad gurus, Cloud Clicks in Maroochydore. To support the online campaign, we also produced print collateral which was distributed through the Noosa Tourism Visitors Information Centre on Hastings Street, Noosa Heads. We’re happy to report the campaign was a great success with 20,000 potential customers (Sept-Oct) searching the Acres Noosa address on Google Maps! We will repeat the digital campaign (December 2021) to drive traffic to the centre during peak season.

Safehook - it’s a jungle in there! Facebook Advertising

SAFEHOOK AUSTRALIA (LINC FURNITURE)

Our work with Safehook Australia, continued with the creation of three short, fun and energetic animated video ads aimed at social media. We bought in local artists and writers to help storyboard these. Here’s how they turned out.


SOUNDTRAILS

It was great to see the Soundtrails app launch earlier this year at the Old Nambour Fire Station. In case you didn’t know, Soundtrails is an interactive immersive audio app. We helped to refresh their brand and developed a fresh, contemporary feel that encapsulated the products functionality and purpose.


SUNSTRUCT + GVE

A new development in Coolum saw local building company, Sunstruct, get in touch to create an elegant sales brochure for pre-sales. We produced a 12-page colour brochure complete with photography and copywriting to market the boutique apartments. The exclusive three-level complex included three apartments on each level and a penthouse. The property was marketed by Century21 Noosa.


COMPLETE ENVIROTEST

Kalgoorlie based compliance company, Complete Envirotest, wanted to rebrand and redesign their website to include fresh new content and photography. We completed online customer research to ensure we used the right language and tone to connect with their varied customer base. To create the new brand, we built a colour palette around the Kalgoorlie landscape and incorporated the unique colours into the logo. The new website launched recently, have a look here.


LISA MITCHELL & HARRY ANGUS JAMES

Big Hearted Studios always keeps us busy with the creation of single covers and digital marketing assets for various artists. During the year we produced tour and launch collateral for Lisa Mitchell’s new single ‘Zombie’ which included a selection of single covers, tour posters, social media graphics and digital banner ads pre and post launch. We did the same for Harry Angus James (Cat Empire).


OCEAN ADDICTS

Water sports fanatics Ocean Addicts re-engaged The Ageing Sea to produce a new print campaign for the holiday season. The team updated DL Flyers, A-Frame Signs, Flags, Notepads, Loyalty Cards, Gift Vouchers and Truck Signage to highlight their new location and expanded services. 


SIME DARBY INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS

In April we were asked to participate in a pitch for a large branding project with Sime Darby Industrial Solutions (Haynes Group). The project consisted of repositioning five internal business units and creating new brands for each business. We are currently in the process of finalising Austchrome’s rebrand and creating two new brands for mechanical and retail which consists of name creation (ip checks), brand strategy, identity and execution of website, capability statements, advertising, social, stationery templates, signage, uniforms and launch assets for all five businesses. We are currently leap frogging the branding projects and look to launch the final business in June 2022. Stay tuned.


EARTH FRIENDLY CONCRETE | WAGNERS

Wagners marketing team connected with The Ageing Sea to design and develop a fresh new product website for the game changing Earth Friendly Concrete (EFC). We’re currently in the process of finalising project but here is a sneak peak.
